Pluspunten
Generally teammates are nice
There are good health benefits and efforts to improve wellbeing and mental health
Amazing culture of being able to reach out to colleagues and senior leads for advice, support or coaching
The outlook for future does look interesting and exciting - and will continue to do so if there aren’t the same budget cuts others NHS orgs face
Minpunten
Still an air of bureaucracy and targets-based/performance micromanaging
Which goes counter to some of the mental health promotion done if managers are just undoing any progress every meeting
There’s not many opportunities for ups-killing and time for self-directed learning. No protected hours, or initiatives and skills training to support junior colleagues in progression.
There’s lots of pointing out what may have been done wrong, but rarely a time, outside the big monthly meetings, to say well done to colleagues for picking up something fast, or engaging with other colleagues positively.
