Minpunten
Literally everything else - Leadership sits in ivory tower, being told a story by middle-management that everything is okay, when the individual contributors are doing everything to keep the ship afloat, while its sinking. - Lack of alignment across Sales/Marketing/IT that starts/ends on Leadership level; people on the ground are stuck to pick up the pieces - Insane deadlines, constantly. No explanation whatsoever behind the deadlines. They just keep coming. - Priorities are changing every couple of weeks. Teams work on 2 week sprints with no roadmap, and no plan of making a roadmap. - Any discussion of issues or problems is seen as 'negative,' even with proper documentation on potential solutions - Was told, verbatim, by my last manager that "we are going to do things how we've always done them" - Incompetent people, led by incompetent people. By the hundreds, maybe thousands. - Middle-managers make decisions to make themselves look good - they do NOT prioritize what's best for the business or customer. - Code of Conduct clearly states that the company has 'respect for individual contributors', but this couldn't be further from the truth. These folks are fired for speaking up about the problems. - HR - DO NOT TRUST HR, even if they appear to be on your side. They know about these issues, and continue to feed the toxic cycle. - People spend WAY more time arguing about a thing, than anyone spends actually accomplishing anything.
