Pluspunten
First up I am penning this as I don't recognise some recent comments on this site from employees who have departed. So consider this as a 'right of reply'. The company has strong business metrics. That's important in an environment where many other companies over-extended through 2021/22 and are now reversing their headcounts to more sustainable levels. Oktopost is not in that group. The Product is strong and evolving. This is important if you work in a revenue function. Customers genuinely love and value ( think EQ + IQ ) the solution. Sure - a few leave us, but that's normally driven by change inside their own company, rather than Oktopost's solution. The 2 founders are rockstars and still execute inside the company. That is rare - many founders get bored and drift away. Not ours. The CEO has super high standards and expects the best every day - but it's his company so why shouldn't his aim be 'to be the best'. There is a very quiet caring side to the CEO. I have seen him send gifts to employees when they deliver great work. I have seen him send care packages when someone is sick. I have seen him donate to charity when good causes are escalated. He doesn't seek glory and kudos for this - it's just part of his dna. Quietly caring about every employee. The culture is strong. We are a business across 3 continents and working hard to connect the dots on a daily basis. Communication is open, Slack is very active and we collaborate to solve problems. We drink together, we cook together, we laugh together and we run together. Every week. Benefits are good for a company of our size. I am in the UK and have a pension, healthcare, good PTO, a performance based compensation scheme , a MyDay every month, cycle to work scheme, access to a personal 1-1 coach, and a flexible attitude to hybrid working alongside a cool office in town. I have been with the company 18 months this week. I have worked harder here than any previous company. I do it because I value the opportunity we have right now. I do it because others around me work hard. I do it because it is highly rewarding every day. Maybe I am just one of the lucky ones in loving my employer, but evidence from the recent offsite would suggest otherwise. LinkedIn is full of praise for the company and the leadership from a large cross section of the workforce.
