Too bad this is not enforced in the field. So many bad deals and deceptive selling takes place. Close the deal at whatever costs. Organic growth is minimal and acquisitions are they way Opentext continues to thrive. Deal splits are common in many deals and executive management allows higher splits than what the rules for splits dictate. Inside Sales is allowed to grab deals even when the account is specifically named. Executive Management allows it to happen. Cloud deals max payout is 50% MCV. Sap deals get only 40% commission. Delayed commissions on maintenance revenue from SAP by 4 months. If you leave, you don’t get paid.
