Minpunten
There is a complete lack of visible leadership from the CFO. Michael Venter is largely non‑existent in day‑to‑day operations - walks past teams without engagement, provides no direction, and does not drive any finance initiatives. The role appears to exist purely as a hierarchical approval layer rather than an active leadership position. There is little to no interaction with the finance team, no strategic guidance, and no ownership of outcomes. When follow‑ups are requested, responses are often defensive or irritated rather than focused on resolving the work. Time is spent reacting to minor issues or criticising people instead of reviewing deliverables or progressing meaningful finance matters. Overall, the CFO does not demonstrate leadership presence, accountability, or support for the function. Glad that he's gonna be gone soon, this organisation have no such place for a 'leader' without 'leadership' - The CFO adds little to no operational or strategic value. There is no leadership presence, no initiative ownership, and no meaningful contribution beyond title and hierarchy.
