Poor structure. They’d constantly complain about the store not making targets when there was no market research in regards to the location of the store, little stock (it was a struggle to get the pieces you’d need and clients would constantly request a specific popular line that had been discounted - just another example of their poor decision making. If there’s a demand for a product, then supply it! It makes for an easy sale.) We don’t offer anything different to the other surrounding jewellery stores in the area. I.e. piercings, tattoos, welded jewellery. We were cold calling the online client base to let them know that a store had opened in London! Little help or store support. Clients would request a specific necklace in silver but it was only available to purchase through wholesale vendors eg. John Lewis. So sales that could easily go to stores (which should be the priority) instead went to a third party. Make it make sense. They’ll have you assume the roles and responsibilities of another position and won’t adequately compensate for it. Lazy hiring and poor business practice. If you want to inspire loyalty and curate a happy working environment you should motivate and show appreciation to current working staff. Or you’ll continue to have a high turnover. They won’t hire more staff to cover hours as the store isn’t making money. But the store isn’t making money because you aren’t willing to adapt and grow and make changes. So staff are overworked and generally working solo, which isn’t pleasant, lowers morale and interest.

Multiple lapses in U.S. health insurance coverage while payroll continued deducting employee premiums, leaving people to discover only at the doctor or pharmacy that coverage had been cancelled and forcing out‑of‑pocket payments or skipped care. These lapses stemmed from nonpayment from Europe and continued even after repeated written warnings from U.S. staff about the legal and human impact. Chronic underfunding of payroll and vendor payments: bounced payroll debits, late pay, threats of liens, and collections activity against the U.S. entity, while people in the U.S. had no authority to move money and had to repeatedly ask the European office to fund basic obligations.

Minpunten

Stuck in their ways and not open to feedback or adapting to other markets. Don't answer emails or show up to meetings. Didn't pay health insurance, travel expense reimbursement, paid late, amongst many other illegal circumstances. Awful company, definitely the worst company I have ever worked for.
