Good Learning - exposure to multiple skill sets. Share of responsibilities for those who are willing to to take responsibilities. India centered MNC - good for Indian employees as it offers a chance for fair hearing for the employees in India unlike foreign MNC which may listen to a foreign boss's views about a situation. Some SBU are better organized to appreciate the efforts put in by the employees. PES for one is one such - of course there are exceptions that prove the rule. The compensation is also skewed as per the SBU structure, performance, productivity and prospects. Having spent 5 of years in the organization - its overall a decent place to work.
Minpunten
Not for people looking to specailize in a particular technology. work allocated depends on demand of the skill and not on your skill set. Patni has its share of lazy bums - courtesy the turf war for more reportees. Some SBU are not too organized to recognize talent and appreciate any good effort and results that. The mantra for compensation and responsibilities seems to be - we share blame and responsibilities but not accolades and profit with our employees. There is no culture of grooming and developing future leaders from within the organization. Hiring from outside is not always the perfect solution.
