I wasn't in control of my own life while at PayTech. I came from a background in management and I never felt that was considered or taken into account when assigning me. PayTech Management made all decisions regarding where I traveled, the length of time spent with each client, long hours (I was strongly reprimanded for working less than 10 hours per day, no work/life balance or remote work as promised. When the client demands were unreasonable, management didn't support those who were going above and beyond to honor their company. Their inability to understand the needs of a professional traveling consultant was disappointing as I was excited to work for them and enjoyed my work very much. I felt discouraged when I worked there and I had never experienced that before. The pay is considerably lower than with other consulting companies. Consultants are treated more as entry level employees while Project Managers are given the authority to be in charge of Consultants. Since leaving PayTech, I've made much more money, I've been able to work reasonable hours and I've felt respected and appreciated. Thanks to PayTech, I now know how I don't want to be treated!
