Great opportunity to make good money. Great training, to maximize potential. Great people to work with. Great company, overall, with good products and reputation. Great insurance and stock options.

Minpunten

Long hours and lack of flexibility create negative impact on personal life. Simple, no cost opportunities to improve quality of life are limited by management, unlike many progressive successful companies. Too many unproductive meetings that steal productive sales related time, when good people are already working 50 - 60 hours per week. Weekly (late Friday) national sales call / meeting requires everyone to participate from the office, guaranteeing you are stuck in big city traffic that makes Friday night family activity planning difficult.

We agree, at Paycom we have great people and sales training helps individuals grow, both personally and professionally. We pride ourselves on the quality of people we hire at Paycom and the sales department is no different. We have found that those who are intentional and purposeful with their schedules and remain focused during their office hours perform extremely well. Unfortunately, not everyone has the same commitment level to their development and career during regular working hours. Pluspunten

You can make a lot of money if you are in the right territory and have a good client base that hasn’t been oversold by previous AMs. The training is very good and you will make good friends! The people they hire are smart and fun to be around

Minpunten

If there has been high turnover in your territory it will be hard to sell as the clients have products that have not been properly implemented and are likely gun shy to purchase. It will also depend how “over promised/under delivered” their experience with new business is. The work/life balance can, and probably will, become very toxic. You are on the road constantly if you have a travel heavy territory which makes it difficult to get admin work done during business hours. You will be working before and/or after work - probably on the weekends as well. Ask for transparency in your territory assignment. You want to know how far your furthest client is as you will have to go see them in person at some point
