Paycom offers great growth opportunity and tremendous resources to accomplish big things in the technology space. Paycom is a forward thinking technology company that will bring the best out of you in your work. The Product Management department has positive management rooted in high core values and really respects its people. The management teams in the department have a really solid understanding of work/life balance while still challenging the team to be the best. Paycom has a culture of empowering staff to see weaknesses in process and seek a way to improve them. Complaining and poor morale is not something that is rewarded at Paycom, but rather hard work, innovation, and positive dealings with people, which is refreshing.

Minpunten

Paycom is Like any large technology company, sometimes it can take longer to get projects across the finish line due to some red tape, but ultimately those can be viewed as checks and balances and may result in a better product/process. Like most large companies, each department is different in day-to-day life but Product Management and the teams we work with provide a great and transparent environment.

Minpunten

Over the past couple of years, career growth has felt extremely limited. Promotions and meaningful raises have become increasingly rare, and many employees believe these decisions are being driven from the very top. Layoffs and terminations have also become common, creating a constant sense of uncertainty. High performers often take on high-visibility projects with aggressive timelines and limited support. The expectations are unrealistic, and even successful delivery doesn’t usually lead to recognition or advancement. Leadership tends to make decisions very late, creating unnecessary urgency and forcing teams into last-minute scrambles. Benefits have declined, opportunities for advancement have become scarce, and overall morale has suffered significantly. There are talented people here and it can be a good place to gain experience, but I would view it primarily as a stepping stone rather than a long-term destination.
