Pluspunten
None that I can think of. I request you to please read the cons if you are going to join this company
Minpunten
1) They install software known as Hubstaff in your system which tracks your daily activity based on keystrokes and mouse movements. The timer is restarted when you are inactive for 10 minutes. They should know that coding is not about typing continuously, it is thinking about logic. The software also takes “screenshots” every 10 minutes. In a world where your data means everything, this is a strict infringement on your privacy. The bad part is that it is neither mentioned by the HR during joining nor it is mentioned in any Policy. 2) The above software is installed after 1-2 Months of your joining so that you won’t be able to leave the organization even if you are against the software. The notice period during probation is also 3 Months which is very weird. Even if you provide your concerns regarding this software, they won’t budge. 3) The company is not registered on the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) portal, which questions the genuineness of the company. 4) Instead of taking feedback from the employees, they take it on their EGO. It is an irony that they have mentioned on every negative feedback on Glassdoor that they welcome any suggestions on how to improve. Taking feedback and working on the feedback are two completely different things. Even if they take feedback, they will only do what they want to do. 5) Many reviews have mentioned here that the company is “Good for Freshers”. I don’t think so. Considering the work culture and micro-management, they are representing a bad image of the IT industry in the eyes of the freshers. I would suggest freshers that “you deserve better” any day. 6) Another unethical activity that they do is they ask good employees to give client interviews on behalf of inexperienced employees who are unable to crack the interviews. Then the inexperienced employees are deployed on the client-side with the biodata of experienced employees. The client believes that the experienced employee (4-5 YOE) is working for them, but in reality, they get a Fresher or 1-2 YOE employee. This creates pressure on the employee as the client doesn’t know the reality, which in turn also deteriorates the quality of work. They also disable the webcam of the laptop, so that the client can never see you. 7) Talking about unethical activities, the Lead won’t think twice before asking for an employee’s credentials. And they even justify it by saying that it is your work email and nothing personal is stored there. After that, they read your chats with the client or onboard another person on the client-side with your biodata in case you are on notice period. So, the client is unaware that an employee has left the organization. 8) If the managers/lead want good communication with the client, they should hire employees with good communication skills as well. Neglecting the communication skills during hiring, and later blaming the employee for not communicating confidently with the client is not fair and makes the company toxic. 9) Manager/Lead need to work on their communication skills as well and before they confirm anything to the client in regards to timelines, they should first evaluate the efforts it will take. Otherwise, this will keep pressurizing the developers as the timelines they agreed upon are pretty tight. 10) If the client is giving feedback about an employee’s work, the lead should also focus and appreciate the good points instead of just focussing on the negative points. 11) If someone is taking a leave, they consider it as a negative point in the weekly meeting with CTO. The CTO of the company promotes micro-management which is not expected from a person sitting at the top position. 12) Forget about your retention bonus if you resigned and then cancel your resignation. 13) The management/lead who is in the company for more than 10 yrs are unable to answer simple queries and ask to go to HR for the same 14) If we reach out to HR, the time taken for replying is very high let alone the resolution 15) If you work over the weekend (which you will have to as the freshers are working as experienced engineers on the project under tight timelines), you can’t take the comp off/day off for the same even if the same is mentioned in the Policy. 16) Everything is manual here. Leave Management, Timesheet Management, Daily Status. There are many tools out there that automate the process, but they are still using excel sheets. Taking leave is pain here. You have to take multiple approvals. 17) When you are on Notice Period, you can’t take leaves. If you do, then either your notice period is increased, or it will count as LOP. They stop crediting leaves during the Notice Period. There is no Notice Period Buyout option available. Also, the leaves are not encashed when you leave the organization and the amount you paid to send back the assets is also not reimbursed. The work-life balance and the company’s culture are very toxic. The company will give you a good hike but working at this company has made me realize that salary is not everything. Your self-respect and peace of mind also matter a lot. Please give importance to the work-life balance and culture of the company before joining it instead of just focussing on the CTC part.
