As an "Account Executive," it's important to clarify that your initial responsibilities will not align with traditional AE duties for the first several quarters. Instead, your role will primarily entail lead scrubbing, excluding any involvement in prospecting activities. Additionally, while there are Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) designated within the structure, you won't collaborate with them to explore new client opportunities. These SDRs are outsourced from the Philippines and have yet to secure any successful deals. Existing AEs within the organization will handle product demonstrations for any leads you manage to secure. Leadership remains distant and disconnected, primarily communicating through impersonal channels such as LinkedIn and Slack, neglecting to formally introduce themselves to new hires despite the relatively small team size. Despite this, there's an expectation for team members to extend social niceties such as birthday wishes and vacation celebrations. Furthermore, the absence of a structured paid time off (PTO) policy, coupled with a limited number of holidays, contributes to an imbalance between work and personal life commitments.
