Pluspunten

A majority of the people are beyond helpful and really lovely! You felt a genuine care from certain colleagues which really helped the journey! The environment is spacious and comfortable, the ability to adapt your work station to your comfort levels is ideal and the access to alternative rooms is also nice.

Minpunten

While there were some positive aspects to my time, there were also a few challenges that made the experience a little less than ideal. The hiring process involved multiple stages, beginning with an initial verbal phone conversation, followed by a video submission where I answered a series of questions. I then attended two in-person interviews—one lasting around two hours and the other nearly three hours. I felt this was very in depth and rigorous which came across as overly critical at times. The ‘key sales time’ proved quite difficult for me. I have always found colder sales quite invasive and not something I get along with however, I know some people can excel with this! One of the issues once I got the job was the high expectations placed on employees, especially for those coming in with little or no experience. I found it difficult to build the necessary skills and confidence to perform well in the role. Overall, while there were some positives, I believe there’s room for improvement in terms of training, support, and work culture.

Pluspunten

Gave me my first chance in recruitment and has opened doors to my long-term career, which I'll always appreciate. Amazing colleagues.

Minpunten

Company went insolvent. Reactive, often poor management that changed like the weather.

Pluspunten

On the whole, I really enjoyed my three years at Priority Appointments. Of course, like any job it had it's ups and downs. The main things that will stick with me are: - The team, everyone is very supportive and prepared to help. What PA excel at, is employing people who care! - Inclusion, I found it massively helpful as a Talent Finder to be taken to meetings to really understand what a client wants and the type of person that will fit in. Moving on from this there is a low level weekly overview of the finances of the business, meaning every understands how they've added value. - Pressure (or lack of), while, as anyone in recruitment will understand, targets are crucial. I never felt unhealthy pressure to meet KPI's or that I (or anyone around me) was being singled out for under achieving. - Direct management style, I personally felt I had a very understanding relationship, based on trust with my direct manager. I never felt micromanaged or pressured, we had a good rapport and respect for one anothers style. We we're able to maintain a professional relationship, with personal understandings. And a testament to this, is that we are still in contact. - Open door policy, I always felt comfortable talking to all business levels with any concerns or suggestions. I am not saying I was always happy with the outcomes of the conversation, I just never felt I couldn't express my true self and opinions. This is very hard to find with an employer. - Work load, there is no expectations to be tied to your desk all day everyday. And certainly no expectations to do overtime or take work home with you. If you wanted to stay late to finish, of course you could. Priority Appointments was a good employer to me and I am grateful for my time there. I would encourage anyone who is looking for a role in recruitment to consider Priority Appointments, no matter where you are at in your journey. As I said, it's not perfect but it's fun, rewarding and inclusive; a place where you can feel a sense of belonging.

Minpunten

The direct cons for me, were only a few that could probably be simply fixed (and may have been in the time that I have been gone): - Difference between talent and sales team incentives and commission. - Only having one person per team on holiday at any one time. - Last minute release of time off over Christmas.
