Pluspunten

Mostly remote work allows for flexibility when it comes to personal time management, and they only require you to be online for four hours out of the eight hours per work day. The rest of the work day can be used up to your discretion. They're also working towards becoming more output-oriented than time-oriented, so time in and time out is not strict (unless your project funder requires it). You can also feel and see that your work goes towards an outcome, unlike some work that feels mechanical and just makes you move in a system and keeps you from seeing the outcomes of your work. Communication lines are limited to either Slack or email (or Messenger if you prefer to chat with your colleagues there) so it is easier to find important chats, files, etc. Easy to talk to upper management since it is a very small organization (less than 20).

Minpunten

Positions are project-based due to how small the organization is and is reliant on external funding and grants (e.g. USAID, ILO, etc.). You don't really see most of your colleagues due to the remote nature so if you're very social, it might not be for you. The set-up works for me since I am a homebody. It's not great pay but it's manageable.
