Pluspunten
The office is a very intimate group with passionate, genuine people. They welcomed me with open arms and I felt a part of the family immediately. It's also a very casual environment, which is always a plus in my book. Not to mention, flex scheduling! The company itself is showing a lot of growth in any given position. The new controller was my direct supervisor and he was extremely accommodating with everything as far as teaching and mentoring. He and I, and the new senior accountant worked well together to create new processes for the company. They valued my opinion and in return, I valued their knowledge and direction. The CEO/President is really laid back and I'd work for him again. (Shout out to Richard Lewis!) Wish I didn't have to relocate, I would still be there if I didn't!
Minpunten
There are disparities among benefits as far as salaried and hourly positions go. Mainly, the ability to work from home. It seems that a lot of the salaried staff take advantage of their work-remote capabilities more often than not. It's a very quiet office on Fridays. (But as mentioned in the "pros" section, flex scheduling for hourly employees allowed me to work more hours M-Th and have a nice short day Friday in office.)
