Minpunten
When I joined the company out of college I was given a great starting salary with promise of upward mobility. Since then I have received stagnant wage growth, TINY yearly bonuses, and no longer see room for upward mobility. I have taken 3 "laterals", which all increased my responsibility significantly, only to receive $0 in salary growth. In my most recent move, I tried to discuss with HR and spoke to how my responsibilities have grown, only to hear that there is "no budget for raises on lateral moves". Ok. And with growing inflation we get an out of touch message from the CEO about how they haven't decreased salaries when the cost of living went down (when did this happen????) so they will not be adjusting for inflation. People are leaving the company every day to go to competitors because the pay is so much better elsewhere, and everyone is overworked here. I really don't see this getting better in the near term either, as the company is too cheap to invest in their employees and the leadership team signals that they don't really care. People will continue to leave, the people who stay will continue to be buried with work and management will not compensate them for it. I sounds really pessimistic right now but I know but everyone I speak to internally feels very similar.
