As other reviewers have said, if you're not Dutch , or integrated, you will not get far. Few options to move into another role as the majority of roles will demand Dutch skills, even though supposedly an international bank. How pleasant your experience will be in the company depends on your manager and departmental management team. From my PoV Outdated management styles, such as stack ranking on reviews, or saying "I don't want people to bring me problems". Experience, especially from outside is not valued, unless it is to agree or say yes, at least in certain teams. Conflict/differences of opinion will be blamed on you not understanding the "Dutch" way - external Dutch colleagues assured me it was not an issue with understanding Dutch culture, but the "Rabo" way, especially for that department. At meetups when I said were I worked I was met with comments and looks that indicated that certain teams had a negative reputation outside of the bank. Most leavers from the department did not move onto other banks or within the FS industry. I saw several international colleagues leave far quicker than I did, and they didn't stay much longer than was required by the relocation contract. No exit interview. For experienced professionals if you land in a problem department you risk stalling your career.
