Minpunten

Mind you I stopped working there 2 years ago, but while I was there, there were sooo many senior and completely detached employees with big egos, low insight and research workflows, which led to a fractured company, failing product and culture, and lots of unhappy people. Hope it changed since then, I would definitely ask something related to these topics if you ever interview there to make sure it's going better now.

Bonjour, Comme vous le savez sûrement, deux ans peuvent apporter beaucoup de changements aux personnes, aux processus et à la culture d’une entreprise. Bien que nous offrions toujours la même quantité de congés payés et de journées Reflector (ce que je suis ravi que vous ayez apprécié !), je suis également heureuse de partager que notre équipe, qui est différente de celle avec laquelle vous avez travaillé, est extrêmement passionnée par le projet et par la manière dont elle le développe. De plus, nos processus et nos flux de travail évoluent en même temps que notre culture, laquelle continue d’être façonnée par les personnes qui contribuent jour après jour au succès du studio. Pluspunten

Reflector is a good place to work. People are humans and professionals. The salary is "good" Advantages are good (reer, vacation, etc.) Projects are good

Minpunten

Projects are often driven purely by creativity, with a tendency to exclude technical experts from early discussions out of fear they might impose limitations. However, good creatives should embrace working within a technical framework rather than defining it in isolation. Too often, technical teams are brought in only to solve problems caused by earlier decisions, instead of being involved from the start to help build something stronger, smarter, and more efficient.

As for studio processes, I agree that a team's creative and technical experts must establish tight collaboration from a project's outset. You'll be happy to hear that cross-functional synergy is improving daily, and we will continue to foster collaboration across creative and technical teams as our current project advances. - Good work/life balance - Adequate pay ( Definitely not top quadrant, but not bottom either) - Time off at Christmas, some additional paid days off added to long weekends

Minpunten

- Does not value it's employees and talent: It fires, lays off and passively watches talent leave. - Everyone is treated as being replaceable - No job security: 3 rounds of layoffs in a span of 12 months. -Psychological harassment as a tactic to get rid of unwanted employees. - New Studio policies always accompanied with threats to fire for non compliance - Lots of politics present despite being a small company - inability to recruit top talent - inability to retain good talent - inability to develop tools, tech and processes that will make it competitive. - Sets unattainable objectives and blames employees for not being able to achieve them - Dev team blamed and eventually laid off for bad decisions made at the highest levels

Hello, The allegations you make in your review are quite serious. There are specific policies and procedures made clear in Reflector's and Bandai Namco's code of ethics that ensure staff and management can safely report, address, and/or prevent inappropriate or toxic behaviour. This information is communicated during the onboarding period and re-communicated to all employees annually. As of the time of this posting, I have not been made aware of any formal complaints (anonymous or otherwise) either via HR or our reporting mechanisms. My hope is that you used the tools at your disposal to flag or escalate the inappropriate behaviours you list in your post so as to give us an opportunity to investigate and/or remedy these issues. Regardless, I am sorry that your experience at Reflector wasn't a positive one and wish you all the best in your career. Thank you. Marc André
