Minpunten

New CEO, Daniel Hamburger, brings a very different culture from his previous role at at DeVry, and seems to lack any understanding of what makes Renaissance, its customers and employees special and successful.

As I am writing this, I have just completed my fourth week as Renaissance CEO, and I agree: I have more to learn about this great organization and K-12 education. As a leader, I believe in having an open door — and an open mind — on ways we can get better, individually and as an organization. Some of the most amazing people you’ll ever work with. Generally supportive peers. Leaders are kind and not intentionally toxic. Strong brand recognition and a variety of solutions to enable solution selling.

Minpunten

The culture of the organization seems to have succumbed to the broader climate surrounding politics and education. Immense pressure is placed on sales team to deliver in saturated territories with beyond unachievable quotas for some and cake quotas for others. No cost of living increases, lots of layoffs and unclear path for growth with an egregious lack of transparency from leadership about the glaring issues. NONE of this seems intentional or malicious-it just seems like a lot of behaviors caused by extreme desperation.
