Despite majority of company cash flow coming from US unconventional assets majority of senior management positions are filled by legacy Repsol/YPF "lifers" who have no real understanding of unconventional assets who continuously try to apply the conventional asset playbook with complete disregard to the input from US based engineers with over a decade of experience developing unconventional assets.
