The benefits aren’t horrible. Could be better. This company is only good for learning and taking Thais skills to another company where they pay you the average salary.

Minpunten

Only PTO no sick time. They say you have Black Friday off as a holiday but you have to use PTO for it. Customer service reps do the job of 3-4 people. The correct job title is customer service/ FNOl/ Underwriter/claim status. No work life balance for claims adjuster. Everyone must be bilingual if not they won’t hire you. They don’t pay more for having having more skills or being bilingual. They have the mentality that if claims adjusters don’t start really early, leave late and work Saturdays that they really don’t want to succeed in the company. They only give cost of leaving increasing but no merit increases. They micro manage. No loyalty to those who has been working there for 15 plus years. If another department doesn’t want to do anything they dump it on the customer service reps. That includes accounting and IT related items. If you ask for a raise for doing more work, they give you more work. Salary employees rights under the law are not respected. You can work more than 40 hours a week but the day you you leave a little early for a doctors appointment they deduct that time. If you move to another state and they keep you, not only will you get a pay decrease but you will get the same amount or more work.

Thank you for your comments. We take them seriously, and our management team will be discussing them in an effort to ensure we provide our employees with a positive and balanced work environment. To address and clarify a few of your specific concerns: Our Paid Time Off (PTO) policy is designed to provide our employees with the flexibility to use their PTO in the way that best suits their needs. We offer new employees a generous PTO allocation of 12 days, plus 11 paid holidays (one is floating so that employees can use it whenever they’d like). If an employee is asked to work on a paid holiday (for instance, the day after Thanksgiving), they are compensated at 3x pay—many of our employees find this rewarding. Finally, using PTO versus sick days allows our employees to rejuvenate themselves mentally and physically versus restricting the time off to illness only. We find our employees enjoy this option. It was not our intention for it to be a burden, but rather a benefit. In terms of compensation, we review our compensation programs regularly to ensure they’re commensurate and competitive with other companies in our area. We’re also considering additional ways to show our employees that they’re valued team members, and we appreciate your suggestion of rewarding employees who work across multiple roles. As for relocation: we do not reduce pay when an employee relocates for personal reasons and keeps their same/similar role. In fact, we like that this gives us a way to keep talented employees! Your comment about employees needing to be bilingual is true for many positions, including our claims adjusters and service center staff. With our customer base being concentrated across Florida, our employees need to speak Spanish and English to provide customers with the best possible service. We serve what our customers want and need, and we hire specifically for bi-lingual speakers. Lastly, though the experience here was not one you enjoyed (though we appreciate hearing that you found Responsive to be a great place to learn and grow), we wish you the best of luck in your new role. They offer an enticing starting salary. Skip this opportunity if it offered.

Minpunten

Quick to hire, quick to terminate apparently. After 3 weeks I was told “I am not a good fit” and that was it. I have not been fired from a job in over 20 years. As far as the job goes. You need approval for everything. Any experienced claims adjuster will not be comfortable here. Based on my own experience, I can write nothing positive.
