My experience with accounting management was disappointing. There was a clear gap between what was communicated during the interview process and the actual onboarding experience. I was told there would be structured training and support, but in reality, that support was minimal. There was an expectation to come in with a high level of knowledge without being properly guided or developed.
Additionally, the responsibilities I was given did not align with the role as described. I was primarily handling emails and bank-related tasks, rather than being trained on the core accounting functions of the position. This made it difficult to grow, contribute meaningfully, or fully understand expectations.
