Rice has nice benefits for postdocs, and a very good 21 vacation days per year. It supports H1-B very well, even has funding to cover the fees. Rice has a very nice campus. Overall, it's a good place for a temporary postdoc position.
Minpunten
As a postdoc, the position is always temporary, and the salary is always low. It depends a lot on the funding, the lab, and the PI, etc.
