Everything. Kyle is a dismissive, egotistical, profit-driven, micromanaging clown. If he didn't come up with a/the solution or doesn't run into the problem you are having, he assumes you are the problem and then proceeds to give an impromptu training class to you on doing your job, wherein he makes a ton of mistakes, runs into the exact problem you've been complaining about for months, comes up with the workaround you literally just showed him, and then tells you that its a sustainable way to do the job when you, as matter of fact, know it is not because it has been destroying fabric or product for months and it's the whole reason you two are standing there having this little training seminar. He will also noticeably treat you like you are an idiot and beneath him in every aspect of life (I once had this man explain how clocks work to me. Like, what the numbers mean and how it operates). I worked there for almost five years, basically ran the entire floor during that time (pulled fabric for orders, ran the laser—my actual job, ran all of the calendars and flat presses, cut insulation and vacuum sealed it to ship, collated and packaged components as well as pulled them for orders, stocked shelves with product to fill orders with, quality checked orders before shipping (as of firing still one of only three people certified to do this), shipped orders, palletized and received pallets, depalletized and stocked warehouse with fabric, and any other myriad tasks Kyle could cook up to get me to do), never once received a raise or bonus. We didn't even get holiday pay or paid time off or sick pay. But holidays off were mandatory so we as employees had to eat the cost of the days we lost (sometimes up to a week or more on one check during Nov/Dec holidays. I worked my rump off for this company doing everything in the book to help keep it running and get things done (as well as did my coworkers who were lovely people and hard workers) and we were paid poverty wages (I lived in my car because I couldn't afford to live on my own) and being placated with pizza as if that helps me afford housing. Never once was I looked at to be promoted into a management position despite the fact that I was basically the floor manager and could have very easily stepped into the role of GM were it to be offered to me. He hired from outside; see also him thinking his employees are idiots. I was only paid 13/hr for a majority of my time there. John Swett was instrumental in getting me a raise to the 17/hr I made right before I was fired. I was given that raise at the beginning of the year sometime (2022). I recently lost my job from here because I wanted to be paid fairly as we were/are hiring people for more than I was making. I was told that because my performance had dropped (see laughable wages in the face of my knowledge base for a reason) they couldn't be sure I would perform any better with more pay (despite four years seven months of insanely dedicated labor for pennies—including 16hr days six and seven days a week during the pandemic) and couldn't offer me anything more than twisting the narrative to make me the one who should work harder to prove myself to "earn" a raise (again, despite my almost five years of dedicated labor). If you're looking for work, I urge you to go elsewhere and find a place that actually cares about the employees rather than working here where all they do is give lip service.
