Remote workers get to do their job with very little micro-management by direct supervisors. That is until the end of quarter when panic sets in when it becomes apparent that no goals are going to be hit. Then senior management starts hunting for scapegoats and if you are not in head office then watch out.
Minpunten
There is no training provided and due to lack of growth there is no career development. For the past few years there have been no raises, no bonuses, no 401k matching. The culture used to be very supportive and all the parts of the business worked as a team. Now it is just a blame game between managers so that they can dodge the bullet for poor performance that quarter and someone else gets fired instead.
