Laidback environment. Unlimited paid time off. Healthcare benefits. Free food trucks once a week. Overall relaxed work environment with very low stress.
Minpunten
Behind the facade of this being a relaxed work environment with a great culture, is the lack of proper management and business knowledge. Upper management sticks with those who do not know how to lead, and who only believe that their idea is the only way to success. Forward thinking and progress is encouraged, only to be shot down or told that it is currently “not a priority”. We are constantly using broken systems, but are told that we need to do what we have to and find ways around these issues. Rather than address the issues and create a system that works for us. The company would rather you find a workaround to an issue they can fix, rather than actually fix it. Department heads are allowed to hire their relatives, provide them with top leads, raises and other perks. Ideas are presented as “new and exciting” but are really old, outdated, and widely accepted common practices elsewhere. These ideas also take months, sometimes years to come to life. Changes happen instantly and with little to no notice. Good luck keeping up with new procedures as something introduced today can be scrapped tomorrow. Don’t be surprised to find out about changes made to your system from customers, leaving you to seem like a fool when you’re caught off guard. No system of order from department to department. No one knows who does what, and where to go with what issues. Be prepared to solve your own issues and do other departments work as cross departmental help is virtually non existent.
