More qualified individuals are often overlooked despite being more capable. - Unofficial authority can be abused by some from the “inner circle.” - Experience can vary depending on your gender - Certain toxic and petty leadership running the show; if you didn't feel it, you are part of it. - Micromanagement due to insecure leadership - Ambiguity at its peak; certain leadership is unclear what he/she wants and try to shrink away from making direct decisions so as to have a scapegoat. - Gaslighting and undermining your contributions is the culture in some places. - Meetings are not conducted in English at times; insensitive to those who doesn't understand native languages, not that leadership cares. - There will be times you are required to remind people to do their jobs (yes).
