Where do I start. STMicro is a company that peaked decades ago and has been coasting ever since. The entire organization is paralyzed by Franco-Italian politics — your career trajectory has nothing to do with your performance and everything to do with which country you're from and who you know in Geneva or Grenoble. Middle management is a graveyard of lifers who haven't had an original idea since 2005. Decision-making is painfully slow, innovation is non-existent, and any attempt to push for change gets buried in committees.
