Pluspunten
Lively bakery with many years of strong customer service and long term employees
Minpunten
1. Multiple trial shifts should be told about in advance to all potential future employees in order to properly set expectations.
2. Discussing those expectations is not only appropriate, but should be expected when changes occur.
3. They do not value their employees as much as they should - at least the 3 baristas I worked with for 6hrs seemed pretty stoic about their position. Both lower level employees expressed that tips were poor, only occurring once per month, and when asked how they like working there, they could not feign any enthusiasm - it was clear they wouldn't recommend it but it was a stable safe job they were comfortable in. Their long term employee Danielle of 7 years who manages, also seemed to lack passion. Although I got along well with everyone on my trial shift and was quick to show my expertise and initiative, I was given no feedback constructive or otherwise. When I simply asked about how many trial shifts there would be, and why I was not told thered be more, I was met with anger and immediately paid for my shift. They lost a fun, hardworking and reliable worker over a professional discussion the management was not equipped to discuss.
