Pluspunten
1. Really good at motivating new employees with false stories. Emphasises loyalty to the firm and converts employees into puppets. 2. EXTREMELY wide job scope beyond recruiting, including doing what the finance department should be in charge of, and even HR matters such as purchasing stationery, tidying the office, and even to restock the pantry supplies. Apparently these count as skills to the firm. 3. Emphasis on extra-curricular activities for internal company events instead of revenue generating activities. No wonder the company is underperforming.
Minpunten
1. Archaic philosophy where employees are expected to be sitting in office when the official hours start, or else you might be perceived as not working despite having put a lot of effort. 2. No technical skills upgrade or beneficial training. Employees are supposed to come up with their own training material. 3. Near hazardous office supplies: office is vacuumed once every few months, and only at a small floor area. The pantry’s water machine has not been cleaned or changed since the beginning of time. Snacks are sad and employees end up purchasing their own. Meeting room furniture are old, dirty, and spoilt but HR does not take action. 4. HR’s sole role is to stalk employees on social media and forward incriminating posts or stories to other managers and the CEO. Sad, toxic culture. 5. Family business that only cares about family members. 6. Very unprofessional environment. Lack of awareness on diversity and inclusion, and employees openly discriminates or stereotypes people. Deeply rooted culture of bullying. 7. Terrible incentive system. Despite performing well individually, incentives will be halved if the team you belong in is not performing. Apparently, the cost of each employee is 9 times the employee’s salaries. Someone might not be good at math or logic. As such, compared to other firms, people with lower sales actually earn more.
