Semrush is a great company to work at. Here are a few pros, I have noticed over the years. - Career development: As long as you are committed and eager to learn and develop yourself, there is a great opportunity for you to grow within the company. - Salary: If you get to join the Sales team, success and hard work will give you a significant boost in your earnings. As long as you are hungry for success and fully committed to your craft, the opportunity to earn big is around the corner. - Company Culture: Semrush is probably one of not so many Public Companies that puts Company Culture among top priority items on the list, along with growth and development. Overall great work environment not only within the Sales department but on a company-wide level. Offices around the globe: I've been to a few offices we have, and they are simply amazing. All of those in great locations. The company truly invests into workspaces and constantly improving the quality of life in the offices despite the constant rise of popularity in working remote. From amazing kitchens to a variety of meeting rooms (bookable in a click), phone booths and entertainment areas. That's on a daily basis, you should check out what is happening if we celebrate something! The company is constantly growing and developing in the right direction: It is just great to work in a company that keeps evolving and growing year over year. Regarding the sales department itself: Although it is divided into regional teams, each team has its unique team vibe and culture which all together forms a big International sales team that is just a great environment to be in. All colleagues are always open to help and share best practices and workflows for you to constantly improve your craft and day-to-day activities.

Here are a few cons about working in the Sales department (not Semrush as a company). Change is great, but sometimes too frequent and drastic changes impact overall performance and motivation within the teams. In some cases, you barely adapt to a new workflow and something new is being implemented. For those that are adapting to changes quickly - those have easier times. Those who can't - those, either drop off or are let go. The Sales environment is a very result oriented department and if you have hard times on reaching your goals for whatever reason, you begin to feel the stress and pressure from above. Unfortunately, this type of pressure from above usually works towards the wrong direction and just adds up extra stress to an already difficult period or situation instead of feeling the support and motivation you would need in times like these. When you are successful you are being tapped and congratulated slightly, but if you fail to hit a goal you are being judged right away. The things mentioned above are things that are present and somewhat common in many companies when it comes to Sales related jobs, but probably management can do a better job at transforming difficult times into better times by showing a bit more support rather than demand and push more.
