Pluspunten
The best co-workers I've ever had. The owner is super selective in who he hires and requires a lot of competency testing and a personality test. The outcome is that this company is full of amazing people.
Minpunten
Unfortunately, that's where the pros end. The owner of this company creates an incredibly hostile work environment. When I started, I thought it was odd that almost everyone in the company had only been there for 6 months or less. Then I quickly learned why. Anyone who is a direct report to the owner, Aaron, is doomed from day 1. He has no filter. He calls people an idiot to their face, screams/swears at people in meetings, and also doesn't conduct his business in the most ethical manner. He has NO accountability and blames everyone else for anything that goes wrong, even if he had a direct hand in it. It's ironic he puts so much effort into hiring the right people because he trusts no one. Micromanaging at it's finest. He'll tell everyone how he could have completed that task in 5 minutes. It got to the point where it was laughable and a running joke through the whole company because of how often he would walk by people's desks and tell them they had "no sense of urgency" or that he could have done that in 5 minutes. When I was hired, I specifically asked about training and was told there was a 6 week training process. Sure, that's true if you're a technician, engineer, or PM. Any other office jobs, be aware, there is no training or guidance. You have to just know what Aaron wants/needs and figure the rest out yourself. Luckily, everyone else is pretty willing to help fill in the blanks the best they can. The week after I left, about a dozen other people quit. Of course anytime someone quits, Aaron exclaims how he was going to fire them anyway and they were a terrible employee anyway. The place is a revolving door because no one can tolerate this guy.
