- Interesting work creating a completely new industry with products that combine cutting-edge robotics and AI analysis - Great culture - Good benefits and pay - Near-unlimited opportunity to make an impact; lots of green space to go after and accelerate in - Excellent, serious leadership with experience (which is sometimes tough to find in the start-up space)

Minpunten

- This isn't really a "con" but Interesting work is often a challenge + we are building something new; we have a high standard of excellence, so pace tends to be quick, and we need to deliver fast

Pluspunten

Our product solves an actual problem. That simple fact motivates every single member of staff. I will also say that Simbe is very particular about who we hire and a good amount of energy is spent making sure potential new hires are a good culture fit. In doing so, we've assembled a group of LOVELY individuals whom I'm proud to be in the trenches with. I usually tell people that at my previous jobs, I've gotten bored within a year or 2. After 5 years at Simbe, however, my job continues to evolve and keeps me on my toes.

Minpunten

Startup life can be overwhelming and chaotic. Additionally, the better the company does, the MORE busy we are. So my only recommendation for those who have never worked for a startup: Understand what sort of a work environment you're signing up for.

Pluspunten

Startup lifestyle but that comes with its own pros and cons. Unlimited paid time off but as soon as you are out of the office for 5 working days with manager approval, they are likely to terminate you.

Minpunten

This company will chew you up and spit you out at the drop of a hat. They claim to have family values and to treat employees as close friends but as soon as they sense any kind of trouble or pushback, they will throw you to the curb. The prevailing mindset is that you should be thankful to give your soul to work for them and be happy with however they decide to compensate you. Robotics and hardware take a back seat to the marketing team members that are treated as everlasting celebrities and you have to be reminded time and time again of how important those sales and marketing team members are at every all-hands meeting.
