      Pluspunten

      Skillshare is a platform with a great mission and a team made up of intelligent, talented, low-ego individuals. The work-life balance was of a very high quality. The product and design were both fun and engaging to work on.

      Minpunten

      After 5 rounds of layoffs since the summer of 2022, the company morale is at an all-time low. The overall outlook of the company does not inspire confidence. That said, I wish them the best, and hope they turn it around.

      Pluspunten

      I’m continually impressed with the care and thoughtfulness Skillshare has for its people. Transparency is a value and that shines through - from a no-negotiation salary policy to consistent open communication on company business metrics. I feel genuinely supported and cared for by my manager. We get several unplug days throughout the year, a month long sabbatical at 3 years, and many other great benefits. My work life balance is great. I get to work with smart and engaging coworkers solving interesting problems. We have a strong data team and business decisions are data informed and thoughtful.

      Post-COVID is a time of transition for many online membership services, and like many companies, Skillshare is learning to adjust in a new economic climate. However, I feel confident that the teams are making the right decisions.
