From an engineering perspective, it’s been a big improvement. There’s a lot of ownership and autonomy, and people are trusted to do good work. The team is smart, collaborative, and low-ego. Communication and transparency from leadership are noticeably better than before, and you can see real growth in how decisions get made. It feels more mature and intentional now instead of reactive. Comp is competitive, work-life balance is genuinely good, and morale is strong. The product is in a solid spot and the company feels focused on executing well. Overall, it feels like Skipify learned from its early growing pains and came out sharper because of it.

Things move fast, and context can change quickly. Not as much structure as you’d find at a big tech company. You need to be comfortable operating with autonomy.
