Pluspunten
It's abundantly obvious how much this company values their employees. The benefits are nothing short of spectacular and they far exceed the benefits packages I've seen at other big name companies, in which I've worked. Mental health and work-life balance is taken seriously here, with unlimited PTO and family planning assistance. The week after my hire date, I flew to Chicago to meet with the entire company (how special since this is an all remote company), including the executive suite, founders, directors, and all my peers. Everyone is extremely approachable and engaging. This did wonders for my motivation, inspiration, and reversed my burnout. I feel valued as an employee and I know the company is invested in everyone they hire. Instantly, I feel like family here. SpecterOps also encourages employees to grow and learn by offering MANY opportunities to learn other coding languages, work with other teams, attend conferences and pursue external learning paths (like certifications). Last, but certainly not least, is diversity and inclusion. There are humans from all walks of life here. I'm proud to work alongside so much diversity.
Minpunten
Tough to find any cons. I'll touch on the interview process. It is very thorough, which is expected and appreciated. I went through 5 rounds of interviewing. First was with the recruiter, then a take home coding challenge (this was definitely a challenge), two rounds of technical interviews, and then with others in the company. Culture fit is important here (which is not a con for me, but could be for someone else). Possibly another con would be the traveling (not for me!). If you have a family or don't like traveling, this job will require you to travel at least two to three times a year (this is absolutely a plus for me).
