Minpunten
Nurse Assistant 1 is responsible for 12-16 patients at any given shift minimum, and for washing/drying/folding/putting away patient laundry, serving meals and snacks, coordinating and running group activities, maintaining individual schedules, being knowledgeable of every patients diet order and advance care directives. There is no environmental cleaning services so NA1 is responsible for maintaining facilities and cleaning biohazards. Charting is paper. Minimum support from DoN, RN, and MedTechs. Will not be briefed on level of care for new admissions. Coworkers are hostile and mean to patients, ageist against younger employees, and should not be working in healthcare. Time off has to be approved by DON but you have to find your own coverage; you will have a hard time finding someone to cover for you if you are single, a student, or do not have children.
