The leadership here seems more focused on paperwork and maintaining meeting protocols than on facilitating meaningful work. As long as the documentation looks good, minimal effort can still pass as acceptable. The culture is highly meeting-centric, and any promise to tackle long-overdue technical improvements quickly fades with each new directive from the latest Leadership Team meeting. Their approach to problem-solving? Add more “stakeholders” to monitor progress, which only burdens engineers with navigating endless, conflicting priorities in an unclear reporting structure. This setup may appeal to seasoned corporate professionals comfortable in bureaucratic environments, but it frustrates skilled engineers who genuinely want to make a difference—many of whom are already seeking ways to keep a low profile or, better yet, exit to a place that values their contributions. The technically robust product may mask some of these managerial flaws, but this has a downside: critical market feedback is often overlooked or dismissed. Leadership only recognizes issues once they’re severe, since the true state of affairs is buried beneath layers of status reports designed to downplay problems and exaggerate successes. In summary, it's not the worst place to work at. You can stay here comfortably for a while, but you're not going to find yourself too glad to be there over time. PS: There have been internal discussions about countering negative Glassdoor reviews with rebuttals. Ironically, many of those reviews, while a bit exaggerated, do get close to painting an accurate picture—though I admit that might sound ironic coming from my own negative review.

- Depending on the team you're in, people are truly supportive and top-notch. - Great for your carreer experience, since it's an Apache product and gravitates around the OSS ecossystem, it's a nice to have on the CV. - Technical challenges that are difficult but you learn a lot from them. - Good pay.

Minpunten

- No clear roadmap of where the company wants go and more importantly, no clear plan of how we'll achieve our goals. - Multiple layoffs. It's been two already in 2025. Not only this creates an uncertain and fearful environment, but employee's morale is overall down and you notice that people are tense or stressed. - Micromanagement, especially from C-level and the founding team. You often need to send updates not only to your direct manager, but also four or five more folks to make sure everyone's aware of every little detail, which mostly doesn't help with anything other than creating more work to be done. - The company is truly in an unstable state. No big deals being made, no big improvements to the product, nothing truly innovative other than AI additions (like the MCP server). - Because of all the above, you get close to zero career plan or growth opportunities.
