Pluspunten
I will say this: the job started off well enough, and I did have an AMAZING boss. He was seriously the best part of my time there, as he was great to work for. Some of the other higher ups were super nice, as well. I also met some great people.
Minpunten
The downside is how disorganized the entire company is. The HR department had no idea how to do their job correctly. When it came time to discuss benefits, they simply handed me a package and said "Here you go." They never wanted to discuss them with me, and I was left on my own. That was the first bad sign. On top of that, they were completely incompetent, and went on more vacations than anyone I know. While most of the VPs were nice, they also had no idea what they were doing. Every day, it was a crisis because no plan was in place. One would contradict the other, and no solid answers would be given. The CEO is an egotistical and unapproachable guy, unfortunately. He never wanted to really interact with employees, and only did on the barest of occasions. He made you feel like "Why are you talking to me?" whenever you approached him. Other than that, he expected the world from you, but was never nice in return. Pay was bad...you'd take on the jobs of 2-3 people, and get no compensation. People had worked there for 8 years without a raise. That's a big problem. They also brought in a lot of outside contractors and vendors for 3 times the amount they were paying employees. Some of these contractors were even doing the jobs that employees were hired for, while the employees were shoveled off to do something else. And they got a LOT of money as contractors (even though they claimed they didn't have the money for raises, they were still shelling out 15K a month per contractor). Also, the company moved to Florida recently. They kept their employees in the dark about it until the last possible time. They handled the transition poorly, and many were left unemployed. They even went as far as lying about it when people asked, point blank, if they were moving. They were told no, no, no, until about 2 months before. Overall, their management is pretty bad, and they really need to re-think their business structure and model. How they existed for 8 years is beyond me.
