Pluspunten
New facility within the last 5 years or so. Great benefits. The owner does seem to care, but his management team does not share his vision of how a company should be run.
Minpunten
The management team does not share the owner’s vision. Micromanagement to the extreme, important decisions are made at the top, within each dealer, with little or no involvement in the departments. MBA, management by absence in this case does not work. Poor pay when compared to the other dealerships they use the, “low cost of living” in the area as justification for this. They tend to treat people like replaceable cogs rather than recognizing and keeping skilled employees. Management avoids conflict, letting it go unresolved until it reaches a tipping point that they cannot easily recover from. Dysfunctional behaviors are promoted and rewarded, as they are not stopped. At least they realize there are problems though. Rather than asking the employees for input on how to fix the issues, two separate independent consulting firms have come in the recent past to assess the situation. They are working on it though; they have a meeting, and then a follow up meeting to talk about the last meeting, and a meeting to follow up about that meeting. Change may happen, but I wouldn't count on it. The human resources department is somewhat less than helpful. Want’s absolutely nothing to do with any internal issues, instead focuses all time and energy on employee fun days and benefits.
