Pluspunten
Apart from all the perks of Friday lunches, happy hours, random events like having a bunch of puppies in the office or going paint balling, the best part is employees are empowered to find and fix problems. Employees are treated as real people by the C levels and valued as members of their various teams. The Seattle office is very casual and easy to work in. It is definitely nice to not feel like a disposable part in a large machine. I can easily say that this is the best place I have worked and something truly horrible to make me voluntarily leave.
Minpunten
We go fast and sometimes that means forgoing doing things the right way. From a server and security standpoint, that can be scary. I have had more than one time where someone on the team spent 16+ hours working on a project to have that abandoned for a different direction. Communication can sometimes be lacking or non-existent to the point that you don't know why you are doing something and you just hope that it provides value to the company. There is too much work to get done in a 40 hour week so there's a lot of prioritization that goes on and some projects that might help a few people's tasks easier are never touched. Follow the money right?
