Some of the people I met are amazing. Paid travel to different parts of the country.

There are so many cons it is difficult to know where to begin. It is truly shocking that Syft even has clients. It is also clear now why the turnover is so high and also why Syft has changed names/merged twice in its lifetime. Many of the people on the inventory team (most, even) do not follow the rules or protocol. Traveling seemed like a great perk at first, but it was apparent that squeezing into a tiny rental vehicle with 6 other Syft inventory specialists is not only dangerous (I've ridden with drivers been pulled over, near accidents, etc.), but also we are forced to listen to loud and sexually harassing and degrading music, listen to co-workers talk about sexually explicit and inappropriate content, and be on a team with employees who blatantly do not follow company rules (they wear headphones, play music in the rooms as they count, talk inappropriately in front of clients, and even charge marijuana electronic devices on the company computers). With the exception of a couple of field managers, most of them are condescending, unprofessional in attitude and in how they speak to and in front of employees and to clients, and disorganized. There may be a drug test before getting hired, but it doesn't mean that your field managers are showing up sober. The travel pay, reimbursement, and per diem is not nearly enough and neither is the hourly wage for the work. There are also a variety of mixed messages where counters are sometimes told to estimate (not just the little items like needles) but then an hour later we are told to count everything. The training is not very thorough for the work that the company expects. If you voice your opinion or concern to the company, you risk getting pulled from jobs or not getting enough work. When I was hired I was told I would make much more money than I was making at my previous full-time job that I would be leaving even though it was a part-time job, but then the opposite happened. There is also an inconsistency with meals and breaks provided to employees. It was often that we would work 14+ hours per day (not knowing how long the day would actually be before we even got to the job site) and we would be lucky to get a 45-minute break for the entire day. Field managers reprimand employees in front of others or are so high that they forget/lose their phones. It is a very unprofessional experience. I will not miss the lack of hours, fear of being punished for saying what is on my mind, unprofessionalism from the office or the fact that everything is swept under the rug. The culture is poisonous and sick and when challenged, one gets told that's just the way it is.

The culture was unmatched and there was always such a great energy in the office. Management was always very easy to follow and willing to help in any way.

Minpunten

The merger happened as I was leaving and I’m not sure how that impacted the company.
