As you are a current employee, we would highly encourage that you discuss your concerns with Human Resources and/or submit instances of toxicity through our anonymous feedback portal supplied to all Synergy employees. We do not in any way wish to promote toxic behavior and want to hear from our employees if they are uncomfortable.
Our CEO and the leadership team are hands-on and customer focused. They often work directly with the delivery team in the trenches. We support several critical government agencies and serve important missions for the country, and we take a lot of pride in delivering top notch support to those customers. Sometimes this line of business calls for us to work long hours and weekends, but this is more of an exception than the norm.
Our management has no intention to micromanage, as we understand that it is counterproductive. Synergy rewards employees with above-market compensation and manages them by providing context and setting goals and objectives. However, in some cases, a greater degree of management may be necessary so that an employee can successfully achieve their goals and objectives. Employees who require that level of assistance may feel micromanaged, but this type of management is not the norm for the vast majority of our staff who consistently meet or exceed their performance goals and objectives.
Likewise, feedback from the majority of the company indicates positive morale and excitement about the projects we’re supporting as well as enjoyment in working with their teammates. That doesn’t mean your experience isn’t real or that it shouldn’t be addressed, but just that it doesn’t appear to be the norm. Again, we highly encourage the use of our anonymous feedback portal or a conversation with HR to ensure that you and your teammates are heard.
We are aware of many positive-thinking, motivated, and encouraging employees and teams within Synergy. Employee morale doesn’t only come from the leadership, but also from within the team. Remember that you hold the power to be the positive influence that may encourage positive conversations and spark morale.
