The reorganization has driven morale in the wrong direction. US based operations were stripped of leadership and combined into markets with unattainable goals. Management level employees at the sites were expected to pick up the left over pieces as leadership was wiped out. Standardization drives unrealistic metrics and employees no longer seemed to be of value. They were just another cog in the giant corporate wheel. While change did need to happen, the pace at which it was required was and still is unrealistic. Many of the best leaders in the field have sense left and the few who remain are exhausted and burnt out, being told to do more and more with less and less.
