Smart and hardworking colleagues. Exposure to alternative data, investing, and hedge fund clients. Good place to learn quickly if you’re self-driven.
Minpunten
Interns are expected to make mistakes and learn from them, but the culture often feels more focused on avoiding mistakes than on helping people improve. It seemed that your experience depended heavily on whether senior leadership, especially the Director or Managing Directors, liked you personally. Those with strong relationships appeared to receive more support and flexibility, while others were held to a different standard. I also heard from longer-tenured colleagues that the culture was much stronger under previous leadership, but many of those people have since left. The environment now feels increasingly political, making it difficult to ask questions.
