Management is terrible. You'll get interrupted when you're speaking with a customer. You'll be asked to hang up the phone while you're speaking with a customer because it's too busy. Customers who do not make large purchases are ignored by managers. Management will make sure they take their time off on your account. You will be scheduled if you booked a day off or outside your availability. If you call in sick you'll need to find a replacement; doesn't matter if it's an emergency. You'll get literally yelled at across the store, constantly micromanaged and negative criticism is given in front of peers and customers. If it's a slow day you will be sent home after 3 hours. If there's a trunk show, you'll be asked to wear a Talbots outfit from the most recent collection which can cost min $35+ for just a top. Your request for vacation or a weekend can be denied because management is away. Management will ensure they get their time off if it means to schedule staff outside their availability. Environment is toxic, employees are mistreated and disrespected constantly. You get paid min wage no matter how long you've worked there.
