Pluspunten
The people were amazing. I made a number of lifelong friends. The ERG's also had a positive influence on the culture. Socials were brilliant. I always felt HR had the employee’s best interests at heart and the L&D team is great. I look back on my time with them and my contributions to the company with immense fondness and pride.
Minpunten
I have to start with one of the CEOs. In my interview, he assured me any complaints about racism and inequality were taken seriously only to use the N-word in front of me the first time meeting him. He only apologised after I persistently made my discomfort known and my manager backed me. I heard him use the B-word in the office and felt on guard whenever he was speaking to female employees alone at social events. I feared for their safety for reasons I won’t disclose out of respect for my friends. As much as he says otherwise, he also has no desire to step away from the sales function and actually be a CEO. This is fine, but to hire a team under false pretences and block their career progression so he can remain hands-on with sales is a waste of everyone’s time. Because of this, he single-handedly destroyed a successful team who were bringing on substantial clients. He also tried to take credit for a number of my deals in our all-hands meetings and put my deals on hold so he could push his own ones through and pay me a minimal commission. He’s cancerous to the company and while his Co-CEO allows this because they’re “Best Friends” and the rest of the board enables him, Talent Point will never fulfil its potential. As I still have close friends (not as many after their mass redundancies) working there I really hope they get their act together.
