Worked for the company for almost 15 years. I’ve worked incredibly hard to work my way from a team leader role, to senior team leader, and then to an executive team leader. What I always respected about the company was that they cared so much about taking care of the team and doing the right thing. This past year the company has taken a turn towards being incredible money hungry and no longer care about treating their teams with loyalty and respect. Everyone is replaceable and if you’ve put in years to the company and gained many skills you are no longer as valuable as someone coming in with a year of experience from the outside. I’ve seen team members be pushed out in unethical ways like being scheduled one day a week, giving them unrealistic workload that we know can not be complete so we can write them up, values and morals have been pushed out the door. Work life balance is non exsistant in an etl role. Zero flexibility and expect to work 50-60 hours a week without a day off. They are moving to 10am to 8pm shifts so kiss your family and kids goodbye. Yes this is retail but you give so much, holidays, weekends, 50/60 hours, this has become the last straw for me. Pay is good but I’d rather take a 20k paycut and work in a Monday though Friday dayside job that I’m valued and respected every day for my contributions. Run away!!! Target has lost their moral compass! You will be sucked dry and once you can’t go on they will just throw you away like you never existed! Seen the most resignations in district, group, and even store leader/executive positions this year then I have total in the last 14 years!
