Pluspunten

Work life balance. Outdoor recreation. Outdoors. Work with children. Wide range of opportunities. Professional development and training is important to this organization.

Minpunten

Lack of employment equity. Some employees are getting paid top dollar for equal work as employees who are getting paid minimum wage. Changes take a long time as the organization is slow to progress. Park board prevents a lot of changes from happening. Can be stressful with a lot of work for one person to do.

Loved working with this park. Staff are knowledgeable and positive, and there's always productive work to be done.

Minpunten

Pay is standard for a seasonal job, but difficult to live on.

Pluspunten

Many available hours to work (if that's your sort of thing). employee food discount and free access to park. manager is understanding and willing to talk things out.

Minpunten

Most if not all of your coworkers will be inexperienced highschool kids, once they go back to school near the end of the season all available workers will be scheduled to insane shifts. if you're on morning shift you're on your own, in my experience there will be one senior employee on shift at the time doing something else, and they will not help you. no wifi unless you work in maintenance, the data is spotty at best and often times this causes conflict with the app used to clock in. NO TIPS the """tip jar""" is actually a donation bucket that goes to management and park upkeep, have seen my manager and shift leads take money out of it, order food, and then leave :(
