Pluspunten

It is not as stressful as other jobs. They have a good work/life balance and have a gym on site. Also, there are many opportunities to change jobs with in the company. I started working here right after college and have already been exposed to many different aspects of the business.

Minpunten

It is an old company that is set in its ways. Very hard to convince people to change. It does not seem that there is any accountability for poor performance. Also, the internal audit function is not treated in an appropriate manner. More respect should be given to this group.

- The team is great. Both morning and night shift tend to interact well and joke. Both teams know the importance of time and place meaning they take work seriously but also have fun. - Manager of the department is really cool and is a team leader. Really cares for the team - Good job to gain experience

Minpunten

- Peak season is a drag. 72hr weeks for ~11 weeks really takes a toll, and upper management doesn't really do anything to help. - The pay isn't all that great compared to other engineers in the Bay Area. - Certification testing follows the procedures of the client and regulatory agencies. There isn't much room to express creative thought. Mundane work. - Regional Manager doesn't have the interest of the employees, only of the client. Regional would go to the meeting as a yes man to the client without consulting the engineering leads. - Ever since UL Solutions went public, it doesn't feel like a safety company. They care more about how much money they can make or save than about the safety of the consumer product.
